Shihan is coming to Masters Magazine!

For nearly ten years, Masters Magazine has been publishing articles, books, and DVDs featuring the world's most accomplished traditional martial arts masters. Shihan's lifelong friend and sempai Sensei Demura was featured on the cover of Masters Magazine two years ago.

We are excited to announce that this winter, Shihan himself will be the subject of a feature article and most likely included in later books and DVDs to be issued by Masters. This is a great honor whose time has come, since Shihan has been dedicating his life to the serious study of traditional Japanese karate and Okinawan kobudo longer than almost any other traditional martial artist alive today.

Sensei Jose Fraguas, Editor in Chief of Masters Magazine and a sixth dan in Shito-ryu karate himself, graciously allowed us the use of the photos from the shoot that Shihan and Sempai John participated in earlier this year.

Shihan spent many long hours carefully detailing his history and philosophy of traditional martial arts practice in the interview he prepared for Sensei Fraguas, and we can't wait for the article to come out! There are also some more exciting collaborative projects in the works that will showcase Shihan's amazing breadth and depth of martial arts knowledge.

Stay tuned for the article and more great things from Masters Magazine. We'll keep you posted!
